OWNER, DEVELOPER, VISIONARY
We are very excited to be introducing The Village, not only to the retirement community, but also to the West Coast.
People often ask me why I have gone into the business of retirement development and my answer is simple: I truly believe that the retired community has historically not been offered what they deserve. Retirement has a stigma attached to it, a sort-of old adage of one foot in the grave and when I assisted my own mom through the process of retirement it became apparent to me that we couldn’t find a retirement option that offered us everything we were looking for; a real lifestyle offering coupled with the traditional aspects of safety and comprehensive frail care within a vibrant, active community.
You need a place to enjoy life, play golf, take up bowls, go to the gym when you want to, have the kids over for a weekend, go for a walk, a run or take a bike ride in a safe environment, enjoy your pets, pop down to the restaurant for a bite to eat and most importantly, feel part of a community. You should be comfortable in the knowledge that you will be well looked after as you get on in years, that if you fall ill or become frail there are trained professionals who will take great care of you.
We have spent many years working on this project, we have consulted with amazing experts in the retirement field, we have researched trends in places like Australia, USA, New Zealand and Europe, we have crunched numbers and counted bricks, we have arm-wrestled authorities and won over the naysayers. We have truly been relentless in our mission to bring The Village to you.
The West Coast has been known to charm its way into people’s hearts – I can vouch for that. Langebaan Country Estate and The Village have certainly become part of my DNA and I know that you will be happy having your special place in our special place.
